Handel: Messiah

11th of December, 2021

On Saturday 11 December 2021, the 150 voices of Worcester Festival Choral Society bring you music's most uplifting way to welcome the Christmas season: Handel's magnificent masterpiece, Messiah.

Bursting with glorious arias and well-known choruses such as the Hallelujah chorus and For Unto Us a Child is Born, Messiah is perhaps the best loved of all the great choral works.

We are also thrilled to welcome four, internationally acclaimed soloists for the evening (pictured below, clockwise from top left):

- Soprano - Brittany King
- Mezzo-soprano - Kate Symonds-Joy
- Tenor - Daniel Joy
- Bass-baritone - James Birchall

Conducted by Samuel Hudson and accompanied by the superb Meridian Sinfonia orchestra, the concert will be enhanced by the magnificent surroundings of Worcester Cathedral.
